Dragonette – Competition. Dragonette is back with another music video off of their amazing debut Galore. Check out Laidback Luke’s fabulous remix below as well. I also have the Ting Ting’s Thats Not My Name remixed by LA Riots. Remember when I introduced you all to the Ting Ting’s sometime last year before anybody knew who they were? I though you wouldn’t. Click their tag below to see the date.

Up next is some brand spanking new Franz Ferdinand. I can’t express how much I’ve missed them, and they are better than ever.

Jesus Doesn’t Love Me (Lismore Remix) – Dragonette

with one comment

Jesus Doesn’t Love Me has to be one of my favorite Dragonette songs. Ever. The original shows off the band’s rock-and-roll side while the Electronic giants, Lismore, work their magic in this remix. It’s a great remix, and hopefully this is the first sign of a new single. Enjoy.

Fritz Helder & The Phantoms

Dragonette played at the Just For Laughs Theater in Montreal last night as a part of their Mating Season Tour. 2 groups opened for them, Sweet Thing and the fierceness that is Fritz Helder & The Phantoms. I picked up their CD after the performance because they were AMAZING and like nothing I’ve ever seen. The best way to describe them is; the Black Eyed Peas gone Electro-fabulous fronted by Tyra Banks in drag bearing a Key-tar. Hot.

Funny enough, I’ve seen Fritz Helder perform before, but during Nelly Furtado’s world tour. He was her choreographer (I believe) and he danced during the Canadian leg of Nelly’s tour. Pastel Super Nova (the chick in the group) has been in many of Nelly’s music videos such as Do It, where you can see her right at the beginning. Nelly F is so tight with the group, that she made a cameo appearance in their new music video for Making A Scene. Check out more of the group on their MySpace page, or on FritzHelder.com. I’ve posted a few must-haves from their debut album, ironically called Greatest Hits, but pick up the album if you like it because it’s a solid one, complete with intros and interludes.
