I know I just used this picture. Sorry. So it seems as though Sam Sparro is going to be a new obsession for me, and for the world. He just covered Estelle’s American Boy on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge, and it has to be the hottest cover I have ever heard. In all seriousness. He is so talented, and I am very excited that his talent isn’t being wasted on pop-garbage. His first single Black & Gold is a refreshing masterpiece, and his BBC cover leaves me speechless. Enjoy.

Unfortunately for us living outside of the UK, we don’t get to hear Estelle on the radio.. or anywhere for that matter. Estelle teamed up with Kanye West for her current single, American Boy. She teamed up again with rising electronic star, Danger, for this remix. Danger’s remix is something amazing, however the chorus just doesn’t click for me. There’s something off about it, but fortunately there is a Danger instrumental floating around too which has all of Danger and none of the awkward chorus.
