Coco EP - Parov Stelar

If and of you are familiar with Parov Stelar, you’ll know that he takes breakbeat, jazz and house and blends it all together. In his latest EP out on iTunes he emphasizes his house influences, and although I don’t enjoy it as much as his usual sound, its really intriguing. I’m not pleased to say that I haven’t really posted at all this summer, so in attempt to make it up to my readers I promise to bring this blog back to it’s glory days of abundant posts and good content. To start, I’m going to share some new dance tracks in style of the ones I used to post when I first started this whole blogging thing. First up is Kaskade’s take on the Little Boots’ hit Remedy. Little Boots’ pop appeal is enhanced twofold by Kaskade’s high energy House style that has become everybody’s guilty pleasure. I mean, how else did Move For Me hit number 1?

Manhattan Clique has been remixing hit after hit this summer. First with Katy Perry’s Waking Up in Vegas, then with Britney’s (awful) Radar. Both tracks were saved from being poor single choices that should have remained ignored album filler. Next Manhattan Clique took on a track that didn’t need improvement from this summer’s breakthrough group La Roux. Manhattan’s remix of Bulletproof is a high energy homage to the original borrowing from the original synths and Elly Jackson’s whales.

Fiscerspooner’s latest single gets remixed by one of my favorite groups as of late, Classixx. In the past month, Classixx has released their I’ll Get You as well as remixes of Phoenix’s Lisztomania and Fiscerspooner’s We Are Electric. Pretty damn good for a group that you’ve never heard of before. Also, Treasure Fingers takes a shot at remixing N.A.S.A.’s Kanye West, Santigold and Lykke Li collab Gifted for the upcoming single.
